AR & VR for Space Applications
What would happen if we could step in to the nature around us, and see what is not visible to our eyes? Meaning, we would be able to see air quality, or other environmental sensor data, as indicators all around us. It combines space applications at the large scale of satellite imagery data with on the ground sensors. As well, we could explore different worlds and planets – such as Enceladus, a moon of Saturn. This was developed for the Space Applications department project.
Thinking even more in the future, people will be buying their own custom configured spacecraft to bring them from destination to destination in the solar system. Collaborating with the ‘Fast Transit to Mars’ team project at International Space University SSP19, this is the result – an AR viewer where you can move and reconfigure tiles to build your own spacecraft model.
